The beautiful Peak District is home to
Britain’s first ever national Park, situated mostly in Derbyshire, it is an area rich in diversity and with 22 million visitors per year the second most visited national park in the world.
The cycling terrain is best described as lumpy, and can be a real challenge to all levels of rider. The region is largely over 1000 feet going up to 2087 feet at its highest point.
Corporate Cycling Challenges
Our route takes in the picturesque village of Castleton and the small village of Eyam, best known for its self imposed quarantine during the Black Death of 1665.
Typical of hilly regions in the United Kingdom the climbs are relatively short but steep.
Should you wish, the ride can take in climbs like Winnats Pass with its lung and leg busting 20%gradient.
